FAQs

Is my donation to enter tax-deductible?

Your donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

How do I obtain a Free Ticket to a Dream Giveaway drawing?

Mail one self-addressed postage-paid envelope to NBCH P.O. Box 1388, Cedar Rapids, IA 52406-1388 (except Vermont residents are not required to affix return postage). Limit one request for an entry code to a Dream Giveaway drawing per outer envelope. One entry code will be returned in the envelope that is provided with each mail-in. The Entrant will need to register the code in the drawing for which they are eligible. You can register the entry codes by visiting the website specified or calling 727-536-27777. This method of entry is free. The entry method of Mailing for Free will not be accepted if it is sent to an address other than the one specified.

I did not receive the e-mail containing my ticket certificate, what should I do?

If you have not received an e-mail, including your ticket certificate, please check your spam and junk mail folders. If you cannot locate the e-mail, please use the “Contact Us” page to request further help or call 727-228-1479 and ask for customer service.

Do you accept entries from outside the United States?

Yes, however, the giveaway is void where prohibited by law.

What is the Security Code and why is it required when I enter my credit card information?

Security Codes are three- or four-digit codes that provide additional protection against fraud. This code is required when making non-face-to-face transactions, such as online and postal orders. The code appears in reverse italics near the signature panel on the back side of the card after the account number.

How many tickets for each individual giveaway will be issued?

The number of tickets available per giveaway is unlimited. The greater the chances of winning, the more tickets the entrant holds. Best of luck!

Are my tickets transferable?

No, however, you can get tickets as gifts for others. To receive gift tickets, visit DreamGiveaway.com/gift and order your gift card.

Why do postage and handling charges apply to mailed entries?

Email is the preferred delivery method for entries because it is quicker and cheaper. There is a small fee if you want your ticket certificate sent via the United States Postal Service.

What is your refund policy?

All requests for refunds on credit card donations will be honoured up to 15 days before the entry deadline for each giveaway. Simply use the “Contact Us” form on the DreamGiveaway.com website or call customer service at 727-228-1479 to request a refund. You’ll obtain a confirmation of the credit card refund, and your opportunities to win will be cancelled promptly.

Why don’t I get entry stubs or individually printed tickets?

The drawing will take place electronically, so we do not provide individual tickets. Your email should contain two parts. The first part is your ticket certificate, which lists the range of tickets. The second part is a receipt for your donation.

Am I eligible to enter a Dream Giveaway?

All Dream giveaways are open to legal U.S. (except Oregon) and Canadian residents (except Quebec) and residents of other countries and U.S. territories, except where restricted by law.

How does the cash for taxes work?

IRS withholding regulations are based on the grand prize value, including the grand prize and cash for taxes. The sponsor understands that federal withholding requirements would prevent many donors from accepting the prize. Therefore, the Sponsor has agreed to fund an award of cash to satisfy the winner’s federal income tax withholding requirement. There may be additional state, federal or local taxes owed.

What percentage of the money raised goes to charity?

100% of your donation goes to NBCH (New Beginning Children’s Homes), the Sponsor, federal ID #27-5011514, a 501(c) (3) organization that maintains care, custody and control of all donations obtained in connection with Dream Giveaway drawings.

NBCH participates to receive funding and to deliver a national awareness and call to action message. A large portion of donations is used to cover the costs of producing the giveaways, including but not limited to the purchase of prizes, federal tax paid by the winners on their behalf, marketing and media expenses, printing, license fees, credit card processing, and other costs related to the drawings. Due to the donations received by Sponsors, additional grants will go to selected non-profit organizations.
